We want to inspire young children to believe in themselves, see the beauty in others, and take action to support themselves and their communities.

Through this year’s focus on confidence and bravery, we look forward to spotlighting student works of art that celebrate moments of bravery, living courageously, and being confident in oneself.

We invite CT middle and high school student-artists to submit original art that explores the theme of "What do confidence and bravery look like to you?"

Call for Art FAQ

(Our Most Commonly Asked Questions)

How do I write an artist statement?

We've outlined top tips in this blog post.

How should I take photos of my work?

It is best to take photographs of your art in natural lighting, with a neutral background, and from a parallel angle. Using a steady hand, try to fill the frame and capture just your artwork in the photograph. You can also crop the photo to fit your artwork. If your artwork is currently framed, you may want to take it out of the frame.

Is there a benefit to submitting more than one work of art?

No, there is not a benefit. We can only accept up to one work of art per student.

Do I need to include contact information for my art teacher and adult?

Yes, please!

I do not want to submit, but still want to be involved. What can I do?
