Job Overview

cARTie is looking forward to supporting an individual looking to expand upon their museum education skillset. This individual will gain hands-on training and practice in early childhood art museum education.

What You’ll Do

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in museum education while also exploring other facets of arts administration. To begin, you will learn about background theories and research that inform our educational approach, and over the course of your internship, you will apply these learnings in practice with children, families, and the wider community. You will work with our School Partnership Director, Community Partnership Director, and Co-Founders to bring community and fundraising events to life.

What You’ll Bring

Our Intern must bring energy and enthusiasm for the cARTie mission and vision.

  • We ask you to apply your communication skills to support our events, campaigns, and trainings.
  • We look forward to your involvement coordinating community and fundraising events.
  • Your interests, expertise, and energy are invaluable to the growth of our organization.
  • Familiarity with museum education work is preferred.

What You’ll Gain

You'll gain critical background knowledge and experience in a range of museum education and arts administration facets.

  • We value fresh ideas and encourage creative input on all event-related projects.
  • Gain practical experience in museum education and nonprofit work that will set you up for future success in the field.
  • You'll have the chance to connect with nonprofit leaders and members of the cARTie community — expanding your professional network.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid work, with opportunities for in-person collaboration and remote work.

Additional Details

We are a growing, grassroots organization. Your involvement can take cARTie to the next level.

  • We are looking for an individual who is beyond high school years (including, but not limited to: a college student, a person considering a career change, or an older person re-entering the workforce after an extended time away).
  • Please apply if you have a strong passion for democratizing museum experiences.
  • This role requires you have access to your own personal computer and phone.
  • Reach out with any/all questions you have.

There is nothing like interning with a small, grassroots nonprofit!”
