Go "on the hunt for art" and start a photo diary!

There really is art all around us...

...from the ephemeral formation of leaves to the graffiti pieces on nearby road signs.

The more we look, the more we see, if we just remind ourselves.

So, in this cARTie @ home blog, we wanted to take a moment to remind you and yours to keep an eye out for the art all around you.

Like us, we hope you might consider starting a photo diary of art all around you.

With a smartphone or other camera, challenge your child(ren) (and yourself!) to go outside "on the hunt for art." As you get going, consider this guidance:

  • Take as many pictures as you'd like (you might want to set a limit, especially if you've got little ones working with you!).
  • Save your photos in a digital folder/file. Option to upload to a collage-maker software like Canva.
  • Flip through your photographs with your child(ren) and have a conversation about what you all saw. Try to use open-ended questions and model marveling at the art all around you.

We cannot wait to peek inside your photo diaries! Tag us on social media @CTcARTie.
